Brown lines forming a network-like pattern on palms or soles.

What the structures correspond to histologically
Melanin in keratinocytes in the furrow, and crossing over the ridges in between the sweat gland openings.

Lesions in which the structures arise
Predominantly found in benign acral naevi. Occasionally seen in acral melanoma.
