The dermatology diplomas and other courses referred to above can assist any GP in upskilling their dermatology knowledge. They can also be used as part of the training needed to become a GPwER, in addition to the required clinical training (while international Diplomas are not normally accepted for GPwER training, the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is accepted as a learning tool).

  • St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust - this is an advanced dermatology diploma focusing on secondary care/ tertiary care dermatology. It is ideal for GPs with experience in dermatology, e.g. GPwERs or equivalent, who wish to upskill
